Job Description

Bookkeeper Department: Accounting/Admin Reports To: Controller Position Type: Full-Time, Year Round Schedule / Hours: Standard business hours; Monday-Friday

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Bookkeeper maintains financial transaction records and assists with day-to-day accounting and finance requirements. Confidentiality, excellent organizational skills, and accuracy are important qualifications, as well as good customer relations and the ability to communicate clearly. The ideal candidate is a skilled multitasker, is reliable, and is committed to consistently meeting deadlines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Enter member payments and vendor invoices. * Engage members as the first point of contact for billing inquiries. * Reconcile daily Point of Sale transactions, including tip splits. * Count and replenish daily cash bags. * Assist Controller with payroll processing, including reconciling benefit deductions and contributions. * Enter cash payment receipts and reconcile petty cash. * Process timely bank deposits. * Assist Controller with deposit and expense reconciliations.

QUALIFICATIONS

* Bookkeeping experience required. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and ideally Jonas software. * Experience with data entry, record keeping, and computer operation. * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. * Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines consistently.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

* Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. * Ability to lift up to 15 lbs as needed.
